Day #15 guys and gals,
Feelin good, Feelin great!
Yes I've missed 4 of the 15 days, i'm tryin, i'm tryin! - Start of the year is always the busiest right?!
Anyway back tomorrow for more,
I'll keep you posted!
It's going great guys!
That's about it really! :)
Ignore the tired look on my face, yogas HARD!!!
Yes thats right!
Day #10... Where the hell did 8 & 9 go?
Well I didn't go!... I know terrible right!
I'm back at it again don't worry, but sometimes life just gets in the way!
I didn't fail, it's not all over because I had a couple days out...
And yes I know I should've named the series more appropriately e.g. session #8
But hey ho, not to BS you that I stuck to it day in day out any days I miss will simply fall off the order!
Anyway, Restorative Hot Yoga, Its always a great way to spend your Friday night!
Not in the Pub drinking for the sake of drinking, but in a group restorative yoga session, stretching, breathing, and meditating with around 20 other people.
Its going great guys, I feel awesome, my mind is calm and clear, my hips (and other joints) feel loose and free...
I couldn't recommend it enough!
Speak soon ;)
One week in!
And tomorrow I'm missing a day. huh!!!
Shock horror! I know!
I said in video 1 (if you've not seen it go there now!!!) that I would be trying for yoga everyday, or at least 5 times a week minimum.
Thing is... Man Utd (The greatest football team in the world ;) ) are playing tomorrow, plus I have too much on in the morning to get to the morning session, and I haven't been to a match in over a month! - I know, terrible fan!
So i'm having just one day out - I'm not missing the match!
I'll be straight back at it Thursday I promise! - Don't lose faith! :)
Todays session was Hot Yin Yoga, and had almost a contortionist theme haha - Knees wrapped around heads etc.
It was slow, and very challenging. Still loving it guys, still making progress, most of all...
Still an absolute beginner!
HOT Power Yoga 45 mins...
So, it was very intense, with a building sequence as a main theme, lots of strength work.
Some inversions with headstands etc.
Feeling much better now, it was around a week ago (ish) I started, and my hips/ hamstrings feel much more forgiving in some of the moves.
Short but sweet, so far so good guys, thats about it for now...
So.... Day #5!
A nice slow paced session for a Sunday morning!
Around 80 mins long, Hot Yin Yoga!
What is yin yoga?
"Initially called “Daoist” yoga this style of yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body (vs. the superficial tissues) and the fascia that covers the body; this Daoist yoga is to help regulate the flow of energy in the body."
This was a easy paced class, but with difficult stretches held for a long period of time, I really noticed it stretching deep into joints and a lot of stretching the fascia accross the body.
Like opening up all those shitty holding patterns we develop through life by poor posture, sitting etc.
You really notice how f**ked up you are! :)
Anyway, day 5 went well, my knees feel much looser than last week!
Back again tomorrow for more!
Day 4! Must have been around 13/14 hours between the sessions (from last night)!
Wow! Sweaty wasn't the word, good job I had my new anti-slip yoga towel or I'd have been all over the mat!
It went really well! Probably the most challenging so far!
Maybe because its the 4th in a row now, but it was tough! Lots of deep hip work and holds in those poses, pigeon pose etc.
Back again tomorrow for some more hot yin yoga!
Speak soon yogi's and yogini's
DAY 3 Y'ALL.....
Super chilled out after that! Looking forward to the session in the morning then a good walk out in the park!
Too chilled to say too much right now, but yeh so far so good!
We're making progress! And only Day 3!
Power Yoga tonight! In a seriously hot room!
Felt like I lost 10lbs in sweat! Any fighters trying to make weight... Do some hot yoga!
Lots of strength work tonight, lots of focusing on the breathing and breath!
Some inversion stuff with headstands, and ended with taking more time to focus on the breath and a sort of charging breath session with some real loud vocals on the out breath!
It was mega! - Tough, but great! - So far so good, back for a different style tomorrow 90 minute session - Really looking forward to it!
