It’s bound to happen eventually, a dropped weight, a twisted ankle or a pulled muscle, an injury that affects your training. How best to deal with it? Can you train around it? That depends on the type and severity of your injury, and your age.
If the injury is not acute, doesn’t require medical attention or you’ve been cleared by your physician or physical therapist, consider these options to continue your training to avoid the dreaded “deconditioning” effect:
Focus on healing, and not creating additional injuries or complicating your current injury.
